Chapter 2

I had just closed the video of his latest "episode" when my phone buzzed with a message from Andy.

"Babe, how about we go pick out our future home together?"

I pondered for a while and replied, "Sure. Let's check out the luxury district in the south."

Villas there started at a tremendous thirty million dollars, a good enough stage for him to try his next scam.

His response was quick, predictably excited. "Of course! You deserve nothing but the best in life, babe."

Andy had sold me his sob story about being a self-made millionaire. He claimed to have clawed his way to the top with hard work and ambition.

His social media was filled with pictures of luxury cars, yachts, and private jets.

Meanwhile, I played the role of the humble girl struggling to survive in the city, barely scraping by with a salary of three thousand dollars a month.

"I'm not good enough for you," I had whispered shyly during our first date.

However, he grasped my hands and declared passionately, "That's exactly why I want you! You're different.

"You're pure, not like all the gold diggers out there. You're the love of my life. I could give up my life this instance if you say yes to marry me!"

His excitement had been palpable. I'd pretended to hesitate before finally agreeing to be his girlfriend. In truth, I knew exactly what his game was.

I was his next target—another woman to humiliate for clicks and views.

As long as he could shame me on camera, he could ride the wave of popularity and cement his reputation as the "hard-working millionaire."

Looking at that stupid face on the screen, I couldn't help but sneer.

Andy didn't realize that this time, he wasn't the predator. He was the prey.

I sent a quick message to my friend in real estate, telling him that I'd be visiting the luxury district shortly.

By the time I arrived at the sales office, Andy hadn't shown up yet, but the staff already knew what to expect.

My friend had prepped them, and soon enough, an entire team of eager sales agents were surrounding me, showing me the most expensive properties available.

Meanwhile, Andy's livestream had already started.

"Guys, you won't believe this! My date actually thinks she's going to buy a mansion in the south district. Can you imagine?"

I saw him grinning into the camera, exclaiming while asking his fans to shower him with gifts.

His voice oozed with amusement, and the viewers ate it up.

"A mansion in the south district? What a greedy woman! That would be at least 30 million dollars! Don't let her off easily, Mr. Ford!"

"Bro, you'd better film the process of her nude loans and let us have some fun!"

Andy smiled wickedly. "Oh, don't worry. Since she dared to ask for it, I'll definitely make her pay!

"Breaching a million-dollar contract will surely earn her a one-way ticket to jail!"

His audience was wild with excitement, practically foaming at the mouth to see another woman humiliated and torn apart.

They all humbly and eagerly praised Andy for what he was doing.

I spotted Andy approaching the sales office, and I turned down the volume on my phone, preparing myself for what was to come.

"Look at her, guys. She's already here, desperate for my approval. This one's going to be fun," he snickered to his viewers.

I exited the livestream just as he reached me, his fake smile plastered on his face.

"Babe, why'd you get here so early?" he asked sweetly, but I could already see the gears turning behind those eyes.
